Completely Obnoxious Mother Post

I was not sporty. I was the last chosen...for any team...because..I was not even a little bit sporty..but..I wanted to be....So, the fact that my kids are athletic..and confident enough to excel at sports..well..it just makes me..happy.

The big swim meets were this weekend..Allstars and Ponderosa..Logan, Emily, and Mary Grace qualified for the meets...and race they did..they were swimming against people from all over Texas..I mean all over...And, they did well..I mean really well..

I warned you this was going to be obnoxious..

Logan swam the breaststroke at Ponderosa..he came in 22nd..overall...and did not get to advance in the evening finals..Only the top 16..advance..He was a bit distraught..but, when I reminded him that he was 22 out if thousands..he quickly got over it..He qualified for All Stars too..but, it was the same day...so he had to choose..

Emily was 2nd high point at AllStars, and swam fast enough at Ponderosa to advance to the finals..and came in 5th overall in breaststroke.



Mary Grace also swam in the finals at Ponderosa..and got two 4th place medals..one in back and one in free.




And, Claire..the youngest Marlin, got a trophy at the Awards Banquet... you have to have swam in meets to get one..and she did it..




They did well..and I am a proud mama...But, the fact that they will most likely never be picked last..that is what makes me the happiest..
