Uncle Mark, get set, go

Not sure what this means..but, the kids said it all weekend and it made me laugh..

It was our annual 4th of July weekend with Uncle Mark. We went to Galveston..acted like tourists..Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn, the strand, fireworks on the sea wall...it was alot of fun..





Of course..Mark is always the hero..

Emily " I wish I could find a sand dollar.."

Mark walking with Emily at dusk along the edge of the surf.."well..here you go.." and hands her a sand dollar..that had just in that moment washed up in the tide..

He rode rides at Schillerbahn with Logan and Emily, found hermit crabs with Mary Grace, and made sure we took Claire to get a volcano.

And, was always such a good influence regarding sun care.




at the end of the day..he will say..how lucky he is to have us..and much he loves to be around..but, truth be told..we are the lucky ones..because every kid needs an Uncle Mark..
