Logan had his winter band band performance in December. It was wonderful. Here is a clip..Not to great..and you never see Logan( his foot is tapping)..but, you can hear the beautiful music...So there we all sit in the auditorium enjoying Christmas carols..When Shane leans over and says.." I need more cowbell."
That is from my top 10 favorite SNL episodes..and at that moment...the percussionist was playing the heck out of the triangle..and it struck me as hilarious..I am talking tears streaming down my face..body convulsing..and I was trying not to make a scene which made it worse..You know how when you are not trying to laugh..it makes you laugh harder..
We get home and the girls who were sitting next to me ask what was so funny..I tell them..they don't get it..I show them the video..I know, I know..questionable parenting..but, Mary Grace..laughed so hard..and watched it over and over..
So, yesterday..at dinner..we are talking about band and the kids were discussing what instrument they would like to play..Emily was talking about playing the flute..Claire said something shiny (?)..
And then Mary Grace says .."I got a fever..and the only prescription is for me to play the cowbell.." seriously folks..do I need to tell you how hard I laughed.
