New Orleans..

My friend, Jennifer, from college got married this weekend. I had never met the guy until the rehearsal dinner but, he was wonderful..and they were so much in love..Jennifer has kissed alot of frogs I am so happy that she found her prince..

The rehersal dinner was at Ralph's in the Park..it is in across from city park in New Orleans..It was so delicious. I had forgotten how much I love New Orleans cuisine...until that moment..

We got their a little early so we walked around the park..alone. Now, that is a treat. seriously folks..walking with my husband..having a conversation...uninterrupted. I had a bright idea that we would take a nice picture...ya'll know Shane and his lack of picture taking skills...

I got to see so many of my old college buddies..many I had not seen since graduation..12 years ago..so many memories came flooding back..and so many 'remember when's.." It was such a wonderful time...
We played tourist the next day....took carriage rides all over the French Quarter, ate some more, went to the French Market, checked out the art galleries..People always think of New Orleans as simply Bourbon Street.It is so much more..the architecture of the buildings, the antiques, the food...and the people..everyone has a story. I love New Orleans..

this is where we had lunch, The Napoleon House, I had a muffaletta and jambalaya..it was probably 100 points..but, worth every bite..

The Wedding that night was downtown at a beautiful church, Chuch of the Immaculate Conception..beautiful


The reception was at the Omni, on Royal Street..having some of my old sorority sisters around..was like time stopped..everyone just picked off where we had left off..it was awesome..and then Shane found the open bar...


Seriously folks Shane had not 1 too many..but maybe 3 too many...we did not go out with everyone afterwards because Shane was too...tired.


They ended the night second lining out the door....Jennifer had a fairy tale wedding..one that she has waited for..for 35 years..I am so happy that I was there to share her special day with her..
