Christmas

I know..I know..I have been pretty sporadic with my posting.. My computer and blogger..really don't like each other.. oil and water..

Its December 1..December 1..This is my most favorite time of the year..

Years and years ago.. Before Claire was born..I came up with a Christmas chain..I just felt like Christmas went by so fast..and we did not get to do all the things I wanted to do...So, I thought that maybe if I had something special planned everyday until Christmas Day.. It would not fly by..and we would truly embrace the season..

Now we have plenty of secular things on the chain but, also plenty of spiritual things too..

I love my chain. It gives us plenty of family time..that I miss during the school year..

Our chain always starts on December 1...

This morning..I was making Logan' s breakfast..he leaves at 6:45..so it is usually just us..because no one else is up yet.. when he came flying downstairs..

And he says.. "yes! the chain is up.. can I pleeeease pull it this morning.."

I said "Logan, seriously, you are 15.. how about you see what is on the chain after school."

He said, "But, the elf is here..with our Christmas pajamas.. I want to see it first.."

I am looking at 6 foot Logan wearing his Bearkat swimming shirt..and it just took me back to 8 year old Logan begging to pull the chain..

We ate breakfast..and laughed about previous memories.. After he left..and it was just me..and it was so quiet in the house..

I thought..Logan is a freshman.. A freshman!! I don't have much time left until Logan is gone...

I can picture it now..In a few years..one of the links will say.." Logan is coming home from college today..lets celebrate!"
